Jodine Bandlow

With over 30 years of teaching piano across Minnesota, Arizona, Chicago, and Michigan, I am a passionate and versatile music educator who inspires students of all ages to find joy and confidence in music. Holding a Bachelor’s in Sacred Music from North Central University (where I was honored as Performance Graduate of the Year), a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with certifications in Music, K-8, and Language Arts from The Robert B. Miller College, and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum & Instruction from Cornerstone University, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my teaching. I have 15 years of experience teaching elementary school, including both music and general education.

Beyond the studio, I have an extensive background in sacred and community music. I served as a church music director for a decade, leading dynamic worship experiences with creativity and heart. From directing a high-energy children’s worship team with singers, dancers, and a live band at a Wesleyan mega-church to guiding a traditional Presbyterian choir, handbell ensemble, and contemporary worship team—while masterfully playing pipe organ and piano—I adept at blending musical styles, from Bach and Brahms to modern worship. My work accompanying choirs and band solos in public schools further showcases my versatility and commitment to nurturing young musicians.

 

I believe music is a journey of self-expression and connection. My teaching style is warm, patient, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether they’re beginners or advanced musicians. With a deep love for sacred music, classical traditions, and contemporary sounds, I create a supportive environment where students can grow technically and creatively.
